Ectoline Spot On Cat - For Cats above 1kg in weight: Ectoline Spot On Cat is for the treatment of cats only and for external use only.
Ectoline spot on solution for cats and kittens over 8 weeks above 1kg. For the treatment of flea and tick infestation. The product has a persistent insecticidal efficacy for up to 5 weeks against fleas and a persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 2 weeks against ticks. If ticks of some species are present when the product is applied, not all the ticks will be killed within the first 48hrs but they may be killed within a week. The product can be used as part of a strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon.
Veterinary advice should be sought prior to using Ectoline Spot On if there is any sign of skin irritation or if your pet is unwell.
Ectoline contains Fipronil, the same active ingredient as the UK brand leader Frontline.
As a non-systemic treatment, Ectoline Spot On Flea Drops for Cats and Kittens acts on contact and not via your cat's blood allowing for easy application using the pipettes included.
Each pack includes: 2 x 0.5ml Pipettes containing 50mg of the active ingredient Fipronil.
Ectoline Spot On kills adult fleas on your cat within 24 hours and keeps your pet protected for up to 5 weeks. Ectoline Spot On kills ticks within 48 hours, minimising the risk of a tick-borne disease being transmitted to your cat.
Ectoline Spot On is also effective against the main types of biting lice, controlling lice infestations within 48 hours.
Safe to use on kittens over 8 weeks of age and weighing over 1kg in weight. Suitable for use on pregnant queens.

Fleas are often found within your cat's baskets, bedding, and regular resting areas, including carpets and soft furnishings; these should be treated with a household suitable flea treatment and vacuumed regularly.
Method of Administration:
- Hold the pipette upright.
- Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette.
- Break back the snap-off top of the spot-on pipette along the scored line.
- Part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
- Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to empty its contents onto the skin
